For an Italian automotive giant specializing in gearshifts and flexible cables for remote control, Tooltech provided end-to-end Complete vendor/supplier/s development for the components defined in the scope starting from scouting activity to fully PPAP approved components (including negotiation, supplier/s qualification, project management, sample verification, PPAP & TO Sample submission). Acting as the project owner, Tooltech managed client interactions, coordinated between suppliers, conducted supplier audits, and led commercial negotiations. The responsibilities also included design adaptations for Indian suppliers, identification of mold manufacturers (Body,Slider,Bellow), die makers, rubber part manufacturers all while ensuring stringent adherence to quality and delivery timelines.
By leveraging its Indian network, Tooltech achieved a 45% cost saving on mold development—exceeding the targeted 30%. The project also ensured a reliable, SPC-capable supply chain while aligning Indian manufacturing practices with the client’s expectations, enabling seamless integration and schedule compliance.
